Works on the 1960's Era (23 works)
The mid-to-late 1960's were a time unlike any other. That turbulent era is critical to understanding where we are at now and why. It was an idealistic,
interesting, and also in many respects a very sad and disappointing era. Many young people placed their hopes in revolution and counterculture, but
in the final analysis, they did not find what they were looking for. But they did change the social landscape of their country permanently. The books
you will find here have to do with major themes of the 1960's such as the new left, the vietnam war, popular music, mysticism, the civil rights
movement, psychedelic drugs, hippies, student activism, etc.
